After dealing with DHS since last July, and numerous appeals, I finally was officially told I was disabled yesterday.  What is the importance of this? I now have Medicaid. It was a rough road because I do work and the working disabled program is so hard to get on. So now I have to start over again and get all my ducks in a row to make medicaid pay for my surgery.  But, this is a major step and I can tell the surgery is getting closer. I can feel it in my bones.

Good work Sassy!!!  First thing you need to do is let Cary at Gibbs office know.  The sooner you're on the list the sooner you'll be on the loser's bench. We're here for ya

Thank you Susan for telling me that. I called Cary and left her a message. I talked to the DHS office and they told me I could go pick up my medicaid # tomorrow. I do have a question. Who do I go to to have my psych evaluation done? Thanks

Yea, good for you Sassy. Maybe it won't take too long to get back on track. At least you are on your way. Good luck.
