how long does it take to get approved and all that?

I went to Dr. Roller's  seminar last Friday in Springdale.  How long do you think I should wait to start calling to see if they know anything yet?  i don't want to seem impatient but I really am, lol.  I am really psyched about doing this.  It is killing me not knowing if my insurance will pay or not.  How long does the process usually take once you know if you are approved?

After they filed my son's insurance, they called him a few days later to let him know what else he needed and once all his requirements were met, I'm thinking they called about five days later.  Dr. Roller's nurse is great and will keep you informed.  But, call if it will make you feel better.

I am sooo bummed out.  Wendi called and said that my insurance said they don't cover weight loss surgery.  I think it's a crime that Medicare and Medicaid both will pay for the procedure but both of the insurance companies from my work and my husbands, deny it.  It's not like I'm wanting to do this for fun.  Heck, I'm afraid of dying.  At almost 200 lbs overweight, my age, risk factors, etc. you'd think they would agree it is medically necessary.

I am sorry that you weren't approved. My insurance company didn't approve it 2 years ago. BUt last year they changed and did start covering. Hopefully something will change for one of your companies. My prayers go out to you.
