Unfortunately I don't have any recipes to help you.   All I can say is that I have been there and done that.  It was not easy, but it was SOOOOOOO worth it.   At the end of every day, I just said to myself "I only have X many more days of this crap before I can get my surgery."   Good luck!  You can make it!

Hi, I haven't had surgery yet, still waiting for approval. BUT, I did see someone else on here that had taken Dr. Bakers shakes, and she told someone to add sf jello to the shakes. You know like strawberry. She said it really helped a lot. Hopefully someone will cough up some recipes for you. I'm hoping to have surgery by Dr. Baker also. So I will be watching for those recipes also. Good luck.

Hey there, I think we may have ran into each other in the office!?  I was the nervous chick who wanted to eat Benihana's?!  Remember me?  I am on my LAST day of HMR shakes.  It took a few days but this is what I learned... Add a few frozen strawberries to the vanilla...will taste like a delicious strawberry milkshake!  No exaggeration--it is great!  Addie told me this & she was right on! Add some banana to the vanilla & it will taste like a delicious banana milkshake!   Do you like coffee or iced coffee?  You can get some decaf instant coffee & add about 1-2 spoonfuls into the water--mix real well, add the shake powder & ice--it tastes pretty good!  Not Starbucks, but close enough!  To me, the chocolate ones are the best & I can tolerate them without any spike but the vanilla are icky to me...except when I make them strawberry and banana. Good luck girl--YOU CAN DO IT!

Well my luv, Let me help you!!!!  I didnt buy any chocolate b/c Im not a choc eater, but I soon tired of the sickening sweet of the shakes.   First of all, between shakes,  I drank the broth from chicken noodle soup, veggie soups and such, b/c I am a salty/crunchy eater, not a sweet eater.   Second, someone mentioned the strawberries in the vanilla.  One of my life savers was to mix some SF pudding mix (1/4 package) to the shake, pour it in a glass and freeze, makes like an ice cream.   Also, I loved orange cream slushes from sonic, so my wonderful husband discovered this one.  Sugar Free Orange Crush, or generic substitute, 1 cup of ice and then the shake mix.  Dont use water, use the orange drink instead, makes a drink that makes Sonic need to step back a bit.   To your chocolate, add 1/4 cup peanut butter and a banana, or no banana, and make choc peanut butter heaven. I used lots of frozen fruit, peaches, blueberries, strawberries, and would add a teaspoon of SF jello in it as well.   I know it is hard, I thought I would die before I got it done, but hey, every night, when I went to bed, I knew I only had to wake up so many more times before surgery. Hang in there, you CAN do it, we are pulling for you. When is your surgery again?? Ive got several trips to Little Rock planned in the next few weeks, maybe I'll be there on one of the days around your surgery. Hugs, Rhonda D.

I added sugar free, fat free jello powder to the vanilla shakes. Strawberry was my favorite. Also, I mixed light orange juice with vanilla.  Tasted like orange sherbert to me. Hang in there!!!
