Went this morning to see Dr. Baker for my 3-month check-up.  I’ve lost a total of 63 pounds!  Addie was so excited about my BMI going down 10—43.6 to 32.7, she also kept talking about the inches lost—waist started at 46” and I’m now at 38.5”—hips started at 49” and I’m now at 43.5”…now just to keep going down..down..down.

I’m happy with my results so far.  I’m been so blessed with this adventure.  I have no regrets and would recommend WLS to anyone who wants it.  I would suggest that they research and attend all the seminars/support groups to educate themselves on the surgery and journey ahead of them.

Dr. Baker was happy with the weight loss.  He did ask a question about how I was handling compliments, which I thought how did he know it was hard for me to take compliments???  It’s strange to me when people say, “WOW”, “I didn’t recognize you”, “you’re looking great”, etc.  A lot of people who usually didn’t say much to me in the past are now complimenting me and that sometime takes me off guard…I usually just thank them and keep moving.  I don’t take compliments well, but again if they are commenting then that means they are noticing the weight loss, which is a good thing.  Dr. Bakers said a lot of patients have trouble taking compliments.

Well, just wanted to share my 3-month check up results and to wish everyone great success in their journey!

I'm just begining to understand that some people find it hard to take compliments.  My wife is like that.  I wonder if it's a girl thing, or do guys have the same problem?  Since I've always been sexy it's never been a big deal for hot chicks and hot guys to come up to me and say...  "Hey Big Will, you looking sexy today."  But maybe it's just me.  Take those compliments and use them for what they're worth.  Get every mile out of them.  **In my wise Yoda voice** Compliments have value, learn them you must!
