I saw my pouch today

So, as some of you know I've been having GI trouble this last week. Today I had an upper GI....nasty barium stuff that I drank and then had a series of x-rays taken. The technician was nice enough to point out "landmarks" on the monitor screen so I could watch what was going on inside of me. What a miracle technology is!!! I actually got to SEE my pouch!!! It isn't egg-shaped or the size of a lime or lemon like I had imagined, but it was about 4 inches long and maybe an 1-1 1/2 inches wide. After I saw that, the tech went to a screen of a "normal" patient's stomach so I could compare mine to hers. Amazing, simply amazing!  Hugs to all.

You crack me up Tammykins! It's crazy, huh?  I wonder what the pouch would have looked like if I had just eaten?  Now I'm obsessed with the dang little thing. I know what you mean about the feeling of a mobile home in your gut. Who knows what every day is going to bring us and our little adventure.  If I lose any more weight, you'll be able to fit your mobile home into my jeans, with me in there too! I'm scared

Sounds neat!  Hope they are able to figure out what's going on with your insides!

Thanks, Amy, me too!  I'm starting to get really tired of all of this. Maybe they'll find something out next week. Hugs

Yep, super cool. Actually, the test itself wasn't bad. I wouldn't mind doing it again if it was needed. Funny how we make things so much bigger than they actually are. Take care
