Ok, I have a question.  For the last couple of days I have been having leg and foot cramps.  I don't normally get these so I wonder if it's the pre-op diet I'm on.  I'm on 2 protein shakes a day plus one lite meal and snacks from an approved list.  I'm wondering if the shakes are doing it or what?  Anybody have any ideas? Thanks, Jackie

Are you getting enough fluids?  Dehydration can cause leg cramps.  I'd shoot for 64oz. of water, or crystal light, on top of your shakes to make sure you're well hydrated. Other than that, I don't have a clue, sorry.  Maybe someone else can help? Good luck!

I bet that's it.  I've noticed that I haven't been drinking much at all other than my shakes.  Just a couple of cups of coffee in the morning and that's.  It's cause I'm trying not to drink when I eat to get used to not being able to drink when I eat post-op.   I will increase my fluids and see what happens. Thanks!!! Jackie

I still have this issue this far ou****er is the key to about everything from here on out. I had to add supplements to my diet to help with the leg cramps. Potassium. Of course check with your doctor first.  You really need to keep track of your water intake. Minimum of 64 oz from here on out. This is a must. I have slacked off and regret it......it makes a difference trust me!!!!! good luck tammy
