Just wanting to know how WLS has affected your marriages. My DH is supportive and I am looking forward to RNY but I wonder if anyone has any advice for after surgery because this is not only gonna change my life but his and our daughters' as well. Thanks, Wendi

Wendi my husband has been very supportive. He was very nervous at first but after meeting with Dr Roller and having all his questions answered he was much happier with it. SInce surgery things for us are going great. He is always telling me how great I am looking and he has actual gone out and bought me clothes. This is something he would never have been ever to do before.

Before I had my surgery I was considering getting rid of my husband because I was not happy and I was not making him happy and thought he deserved better than what I was giving him. When I started my journey for the surgery...we started spending a lot of time together discussing the pros and cons of each type of surgery and we started reconnecting on a much higher level and he started seeing me excited about having this surgery. I had my surgery in November and since then we have become the best of friends again and much much happier due to me being ALOT happier and healthier. This surgery was the best thing I could have ever done for myself, my marriage and my kids and I owe it all to Dr. Roller and his wonderful and awesome staff. You could not ask for any nicer, caring and understanding bunch of people.

My marriage is still just as wonderful as it's always been. He's always been supportive & understanding.  He's even considering WLS himself. The only two differences that I've noticed since surgery is that I feel like a better wife/mother and my boobs are disappearing. On the bright side, he said he would pay for a boob job (if he  could pick the size).  LOL

You'll find one too AmyBeth.  Just wait and see.  I met mine over the internet (believe it or not) when I was living alone in Fort Smith.   I used to live on Dodson Ave over by Sparks. Small world, isn't it??

That is funny I also met my husband over the internet. He lived in Harrison at the time. Than he moved down here with me. He is great. My kids were upset that we met on the internet but I asked them what is so bad about that. No different than meeting one in a bar. You never really know anyone till you meet them and spend time with them. You just have to becareful were you choose to meet for a while.
BUt it has turned out to be really good.

It turned out really well for me too.  You just have to be selective.  There are a bunch of crazy people on the net,  just like everywhere else. LOL
