Good Morning everyone!    Good news here my friend was finally able to get thru to her family and everyone is ok, it just barely missed them, totally destroyed church across the street.  The tornado missed my sister's house by about 100 feet but completey destroyed our barn which is on our farm next door to her house, (our farm is in Atkins but we live in Russellville) .. we have lost several pieces of farm equipment, not sure about the insurance on those yet, I dont know yet if we lost any livestock, my husband is out checking that now, but all my family is ok and therefore I feel blessed and very thankful Mary Lou

Yes, MaryLou, that is good news indeed.  So sorry about the equipment, hope the insurance comes through and all the critters are accounted for.

Having grown up in tornado alley I was terrified of them storms......now I am curious. I had a slight mishap a few years ago that opened my eyes to life.....my days are numbered......only one person knows when and how I will pass......nothing I can do will change that......so I figure if my night job as a tornado monitor is how I am gonna go then so be it!!!!!!!  Now dont get me wrong I might sh*t my pants when one bears down on my mobile home, but I figure no one will be checking out the arse of my jammie pants in the end.  All kidding aside I get very nervous but I have to act normal as my son picks up on it and he freaks out. My kids have not really experienced too many tornado issues or severe storms. As they were young we lived in either Northern Illinois or Boston so they are more ready for a blizzard. We have snow boots but no basement or storm shelter....hmmmm maybe we should change that.  I am glad all of you are ok. I am sorry if my sense of humor is strange but thats just me. Hope I did not offend anyone. I am sorry to hear about those who have suffered damage and loss.  Well take care, tammy

I would imagine that a storm shelter is a wee bit more expensive than snow boots We all have to put up a good front for the kiddies now and then.  It's the stinky part of being a grown up. I kind of like thunderstorms, to a point, of course.  Sure don't like them when they get that severe. If it's any consolation I love you just as you are

Susan, Just checked in to see if everyone was ok after the storms and.......thought I better check in and let cha know we are ok in Conway. Lots of limbs down and part of the barn is torn off but "WE" are ok. Our prayers are with the Atkins folks and everyone else that had damage.  Huggs, Rhonda T

Hey Rhonda, So glad to hear from you and that you're OK.  Conway does seem to get hit quite often, doesn't it? Thanks for checking in.....hugs back at ya!
