Roll call.....Everybody ok???
I haven't been outside yet, but it appears that everything is ok. This weather is so different from anything I've ever experienced. I can probably remember every single thunderstorm we had in San Diego, that's how rare they are, so you can imagine what a crazy experience these are for us.
We had our flashlights out and candles ready, but the power only flickered and we lost the TV for about 5 minutes.
If I were feeling better I would consider going to Atkins to help, but it's hard for me to think about going to the salon, much less getting out with all that debris. Guess my prayers will have to do.
Death toll was up to 12 in AR this morning. Sure hope there aren't any more.
Take care, hugs to ya!

It's looking like everyone is checking in and OK. Crazy night though. We never lost power and there was only about 10 minutes of bad rain/lightening. All and all, we fared very well. Wish we could say the same about our neighbors to the north. Prayers are with them.
Next meeting.....Valentine's Day. Same place for us.....pre-ops are in Shuffield.

I am not doing so good in this part of my journey...9 yrs later. :-(
Tammy,, I thought about calling you last night, but then they said on TV to stay off cell phones to keep the lines clear for emergency personnel. So glad you're ok, the maps were looking awfully scary towards you way.
Crazy girl....sitting at a window!!! It is exciting though, isn't it?
I'll call you later if I can. Mr. Vicodin is starting to make me woozy.

We're ok down here in southeast AR. We had some high winds and heavy rain/lightning for about 10-15 minutes last night, but that was all...we were lucky...Monticello sits in a valley and if a tornado gets in here it destroys everything before it can get out. We have a lot of tree limbs down in the yard, one large one sticking straight up out of the ground...it looks like its growing up out of the ground. Our house is surrounded by trees so the limbs become projectile objects in high winds.
We're still having high winds this morning...all of our traffic lights were out this morning, just in time for school traffic...it was a nightmare trying to get my daughter to school. My poor hubby is working this morning too, trying to control traffic and work the many accidents at the same time. Why is it that when a traffic light goes out people panic and become brainless? Its like they don't understand the concept of a 4 way stop?! They should be working again by now...our power crews have really been working overtime lately. Our neighbor across the street works for Entergy and we haven't seen him in days.
Hope everyone else is ok this morning, will keep those less fortunate in my prayers. Death toll stands at 13, I think, for the state and 44 total, I think.
