Just checking in to see if everyone is ok.  These storms have caused some terrible damage around our state, so please let us know if you're safe and sound.

I leave close to the clinton area.  Spent some time in the storm shelter until it was clear.  Received hard rain, lighting and hail.  Me and my puppies survived another one.  Horse are a little water logged.

Whew, glad to hear you're alright.  Storm shelters are one thing that is so foreign to me.....California girl that I am!   How long were you in there? Tell me about this...I'm so curious

I live just outside of Hot Springs. Everything ok here. We were very lucky. But we will keep those that were not so fortunate in our prayers.

Hi Ann, We're just up I-30 from you in Alexander. The storm weakened by the time it got here and we only had about 10-15 minutes of hard rain and some lightening.  Sure was scary for our Northern neighbors though. Yep, keeping those prayers going.

Hey gang, We are good weather wise.  I on the other hand, am not.  Had a horse wreck yesterday, let one get out from under me.  I fell about 8 feet, landed on my right shoulder and then on my back.  Went to the ER, nothing broken, just some soft tissue damage.  Took a shot at the ER, then sent me home w/pain pills.  Waiting on a glass of tea, and Im off to la la land again.  Hope all are safe and sound, many prayers and good wishes to all. Rhonda D.

Alright, that's enough of that!!!!  Between you and me we're keeping the Arkansas medical community far too wealthy! Glad it wasn't more serious, take care and be happy on your pills. Gentle hugs

My entire family lives in Atkins and they were hit really hard, my family is ok but it took out one of our barns, our church and the feed mill where my nephew works, thank goodness he made it thru it ok, I've heard that there are at least 3 fatalities, and my best friend cant get thru to her family by phone and all the roads are blocked by downed trees, please say a prayer for her and everyone affected. Mary Lou, I sure hope daylight brings good news about your friend and her family. The reports on TV are horrendous. I just can't imagine. Sometimes I think I'd go back to the occasional earthquake in California  in a heartbeat. I'll keep you, your friends and community in my prayers.

Power just came back on.  (I had the alarm set on my cell phone because I had already went to bed!)  I wanted to log in my food & drinks for the day on my spreadsheet & figured I check in here to see if everyone was okay.   I live in Jessieville which is at the front gate of Hot Springs Village.  We have debris all over the roads (where it looks like there were trees down everywhere even though there weren't).  We did have SOME trees down across the road.  But this is Jessieville - so as soon as a tree hits the ground especially if it is in the road, it is surrounded by rednecks with chainsaws getting rid of it.   We had some hail, but not golf-ball size like they were predicting.  (We've had bigger hail before, so that wasn't that scary.)  We had LOTS of rain in the form of hurricane-like downpours.  We had lots of wind.  But to my knowledge, no actual TORNADO here.   Power was out most of the night (about 6 to about 12).  I had to go to Hot Springs to get my multivitamin Rx filled this afternoon after work, so the power was already out when I got home.  They actuall activated the Emergency Broadcasting System on the radio here.  I have never actually heard them really activate it.  I am using to it doing its beeping thing, then saying "This has been a test of the Emergency Broadcasting System.  This was only a test.  Had it been an actual emergency...." etc.  Well, this time the beeping was followed by actual warnings about the storms coming.  That was at about 5:50 when I was still on my way home and they warned it would hit us about 6:10 - 6:15.  That was odd and scary hearing that.  I am worried about my OH friends and my co-workers since all of you and them are spread out everywhere.  I'm glad some of you have checked in already.   I've read that there are at least 13 people dead in the south, 7 of them here in AR.  They are still looking for people.  The news man said that one of the storms was the biggest he had ever remembered seeing on radar.  I hope everyone is okay.
