I was just wondering if any bodies insurance helped pay for their plastics after they lost all the extra weight? I was told that a lot of times Insurance would help pay for it becuase the extra skin could cause health problems.
Thanks in advance for the information.

Hi Carla, Yes, some insurance companies do pay for certain plastics, mostly panni removal( excess stomach skin) if it causes rashes and infections. Documentation is the key here. You have to have a good record from your pcp about how bad the rashes/infections are and photos are very helpful. Check with your carrier, they'll tell you if it's a covered benefit. Take care

Thanks for the info Susan. I hope that mine will pay for it when the time comes. I hadn't thought about pictures. BUt I will keep it in mind. I know my insurance company is pretty good plus my Hubby has good insurance so maybe between the 2 they will pay for it.
Thanks Again.

Mine will not cover plastics, it wont even do panni with rashes and states it specifically.  It will cover a tummy tuck partially if you have a hernia of certian size and the hoops on that are even tough to get through. I am paying cash! AmyBeth
