What'cha eating today....Saturday edition

Morning my Arkansas friends. Hope everyone is safe and sound after our weather yesterday. I have to work today, it's my Friday (yipeeeeeeeee) and will be very busy trying to get in the people who I couldn't do yesterday. My eating will be a challenge for sure...not a lot of time to sit and eat, so I'll have to pack my food with that in mind. Here's what I've planned for today. Subject to change without notice LOL!! Now;    2% milk SF latte B         1/2 grilled cheese sandwich on LF whole wheat bread, 1 slice of 2% cheese              1/2 apple On the road             Whole milk SF latte S         Activia yogurt mixed with 1 pkg SBD granola clusters L         Smart ones Salsbury Steak with mac and cheese S         String cheese  1/2 apple D         Mahi Mahi, grilled   small sweetpotato S         Protein drink Cals:   1290      Fat 36 grams    Carbs:  126   Protein:  122 Hope everyone has a healthy day!

So far today for me... (I woke up late, haha) PRE-BREAKFAST: 15oz Cookies n Cream Protein Shake (23g Protein) with 2 tsp of Instant Coffee & 1 tsp Fat Free French Vanilla Powder Creamer BREAKFAST: 3oz Peach Yogurt (sweetened w/ Aspartame) 3.5 gm Protein 45 Calories 0 Fat LUNCH:  (which was actually dinner time) 1/4 of a Butterfly Porkchop, 1/4 cup Chicken and Broccoli Rice and 1 bite of saurkraut (I didn't know if it would plug up my hole or not). Nut. Info for Broccoli & Chicken Rice for 1/4 cup Calories 57 Total fat (1 cup serving is 0.5 gm) Carbs: 10gm Protein: 2gm DINNER:  POST-DINNER:  LIQUIDS: 15oz, 15oz water (I WILL COME BACK AND EDIT THROUGHOUT THE DAY OR THIS EVENING)

SO FAR for me: Breakfast - 1/2 protein shake Lunch - 3/4 pintos & cheese Snack - 4 sugar free fudge popsicles Right now - 2nd 1/2 protein shake Supper - probably Hormel Chili w/ Beans (I'm really into that lately!) or maybe a hamburger patty with BBQ sauce...something simple & filling Snack - probably some apple slices again or some skim milk...  I don't really know.  I got my period today and I'm not really feeling too pleasant.  So I'll probably just exist for the next few days on simple foods that don't bloat me up too bad.

Susan, you picked the wrong time to start this    The last couple of days have been off days for me, food wise.  But here's the damage for today: B:  1 packet oatmeal, Weight Control Banana Bread S:  1 oz. beef jerky, Jack Link's Teriyaki Nuggets (so tender!) between snack and lunch:  1/2 cup protein pudding...8oz. FF milk, 1/2 packet sugar free instant pudding (today was chocolate), 1 scoop vanilla protein powder L:  late lunch for my nephew's birthday...1.5 oz. sirloin steak, small baked potato w/butter and light sour cream between lunch and dinner: 1/2 cup protein pudding D:  probably a hamburger patty, about 3oz. and 1/2 cup mixed veggies before bed:  8oz. chocolate milk I don't have my totals, haven't plugged them in to fitday yet...I'll probably have a banana sometime before bed too.  I guess the day wasn't so bad after all, just seemed like it was!

Ok... today was kind of a tough day for me. It is the second time I have gotten something stuck in my band and it was rough to say the least. But after about 15 mins it passed on through and I was fine. What really confuses me is that it was soft food that I was eating and it was a small bite. I must have not chewed enough. Anyway....... Breakfast- I slice bacon and I bite of a biscuit Lunch- 3 bites of grilled fish.....(this is where I got stuck and was uncomfortable for a while) Snack- 5 grapes and about 6 Cheez-Its---- what a combination huh??

Dinner-  6 bites of a grilled chicken breast                 2 bites of coleslaw                 2 bites of pinto beans I also drink all of my water requirements throughout the day but I usually don't list that part!!! Hope everyone had a GREAT Saturday!!   Karen

Hi Karen, Looks like a great day, sorry the fish got stuck. Was it on the dry side? Maybe some squeezed lemon to moisten it a bit the next time? See you this evening

Well I must say the fish was slightly on the dry side. I was at a restaurant. Some of the teachers from my school were having a meeting and we went out for lunch. The fried catfish was what I really wanted but I decided to be good and go for the healthier grilled fish. Perhaps if I would have gotten the fried it would have went down easier. I forgot all about lemon. I'm not too big of a lemon fan but that might have softened it up some! I'll have to try that next time!   Karen
