New Daily thread....What'cha eatining today

Hi Everybody, Lots of other forums do this regularly. Many of us get in a rut in our eating, getting into a comfort zone and not branching out, or maybe you're not eating correctly and need accountability! So, I'm starting this new daily thread today.  You don't necessarily need to put the nutritional counts down, some don't use Fitday.com to track their intakes, but PLEASE be HONEST!!! Everybody join on in now.  I don't want to be the only one showing my good, bad or ugly days    Just as a reminder, I'm 16 months out and have trouble maintaining my weight, hence the higher fat numbers. Also, I'm not a nutritionist, dietician. doctor or other health care provider, just experienced and trained by OH. Here goes!!! BF (before breakfast)   2% SF latte B         Carb Balance Tortilla with 1 oz turkey breakfast sausage and a sprinkle of             2% shredded cheese S         Protein smoothie; 1/2 c whole milk, activia yogurt, protein pwdr and                         blueberries L         Beef stew--3/3 cup S         2 slices roast beef spread with 1/2 tbs LF cream cheese, 1/2 apple D         1/2 cup couscous with diced chicken, green salad, LF dressing S         Whole milk SF latte Totals:   Calories  1185              Fat            45              Carbs         132              Protein        82 This is a low calorie day, I should be around 1500.  Will have to see what I can do about that! Have fun

I had carnation instant breakfast this morning with skim milk. i have a slim fast ultra for mid-morning. i have ricotta cheese and spaghetti sauce for lunch. and i have broccoli cheese soup for dinner. can you tell i just had a fill and am still on liquids and mushies?  :-)

Actually, for liquids and mushies it doesn't sound bad. Ricotta and spaghetti sauce sounds darned good and so does the soup. I miss soups, don't eat them much anymore because of the "liquids/solid" thing. Keep up the good work

I am going to do liquids only today as I have gone up 3lbs instead of down, how the heck did that happen?  So far today I had an EAS Carbadvantage shake, 17 grams of protein and 110 calories.  I have 2 more on my desk and one package of muscle milk pudding 160 calories and 20 grams of protein.  So if I do these today or least while at work today, I will have 490 Calories and 71 grams of protein. Not sure what I will do after that today, but it is getting close to the first of the month and I may be retaining fluids......I HOPE! AmyBeth

Hi AmyBeth, How many calories to you try to get in on a typical day? Could it be that you need to up them to get your engine running again?  Or, it could be that time of the month thing....sigh You're getting there.....

Breakfast:  Loaded baked potato soup w/ a pinch of cornbread (to thicken it up).

Lunch:  Taco soup Afternoon snack (if the munchie****): Light strawberry yogurt Supper: Pork chop & green beans

MMMMMMM  taco soup.  If I had known that I couldn't get to work today I would have made that for dinner. Sounds like a great menu for such a cold day

Here goes: Before workout:  protein shake (I drink the Arbonne shake w/ s milk= 26 g/pro) Breakfast:  soy sausage patty (morningstar farms--yum--I love them!) Lunch:  left overs from last night--Tamale Pie That's as far as I've gotten.  There are ribs in the crock pot for the family. Have a good day.  I think half the state is probably stuck inside today so find something fun to do! Eliza

See? This is what I'm hoping this thread will do. I've forgotten about the Black Bean Veggie burgers I used to eat early on. Must get some when I can get out of the house  LOL My DH works for the State and he just laughed when I asked if they would let them go early today due to the weather. The Feds got to go home, though. Oh well, just means I get to play here and chat with my buddies since I couldn't get to the salon for my clients today. Sigh....

My hubby works in SW LR and it took him forever to get home.  He said the interstates weren't great, but side streets are fine.  He slid a bit in his 4-wheel drive.  So now, kids are home too.  and to think this was my day off....it always happens that way.  Sorry to get off the point of the food! Of course I will drink Crystal Light all day.  In the pitcher today is Strawberry Tangerine.  My two faves at the moment are the immunity boost one--cherry pomagranite and the energy wild strawberry.  Anybody else have any favorite flavors??
