Just a quick question.... How long were some of you off for the RNY? I don't do a lot of lifting at work just a lot of walking and getting up and down from a chair. I know that the biggest thing will be extreme tiredness not necessarily the lifting or being on my feet. Thanks, Wendi

I was actually off just 1 week. I had surgery on a Monday morning and was back to work the following Monday. My boss was really good about it. If i got to tired I just went home. Usually I worked about 6 or 7 hours. Than by the 2nd week I was back to 9.5 hours a day. But I also don't do any heavy lifting. THe heaviest thing I lift is my body out of chair. BUt that has gotten so much easirer.

HI Wendi I took about 10 days off work(hairdresser) but probably could have gone back part time after a week.

Hi Wendi, I work in an office setting, had my surgery on Wednesday and went back to work on the following Monday.  I work about 10 hours per day and found that it was a breeze to return without being tired.  I am in meetings 75% of the day and had to make sure that I was getting up and walking each hour.

I took 3 weeks just for the energy and tiredness factor, I could have come back at 2 weeks but took the 3rd just to rest extra. AmyBeth
