Hello Everyone, I have one more month to go on my diet and exercise for my insurance. I hope to have surgery in mid March, if my boss can get someone to cover for me while I am off. I am going to have the RNY. If any of you have any advice it will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Wendi

Hi Wendi, Congratulations on completing your first month of dieting. Sounds like you have the right attitude for what it takes to be successful in this journey of ours.  I have three pieces of advice: 1.     FOLLOW THE RULES. No matter what you hear or read, first and foremost do what your             doctor  says 2.     FOLLOW THE RULES.  When things get tough, remember where you've been and where                you're going. It's only going to happen if you do what you're told to do by professionals who                 have your best interests in mind. 3.     DO YOUR HOMEWORK.   Ask questions, read books, ask more questions, but most of all                 completely understand  what your new "plumbing" requires and why the rules are what                 they are. I could type a book's worth of stuff here, but it would take me forever to tell you all the little things that I have experienced in the last 16 months. What I will say is that it was the best decision I ever made and also the hardest. But, I have my life back and a whole new attitude, not to mention a wardrobe of size 4's!!! Must get ready for work now, but I'll be posting some things on the forum soon for our newbies, including the titles of a couple of books that I think are essential for us to read. Take care, we're here for you every step of the way. Sorry we live so far apart, but thanks to the computer, we're just a few keystrokes away!

Susan

You go girl....not long and you will join the rest of us on the losing side....I know you can do it and your boss can find someone to take over for you while you are recovering as for replacing you....that would be very impossible...cause you are one of a kind... Hugs Neicie
