I'm hoping there are going to be some new members here after our meeting last night at Baptist. We had 18 post-op patients out in our little area, and Lauren's group was really, really big. Not sure how many came, but wow, are we getting the word out about doing what it takes to be healthier, happier people! Thank you all for giving me such positive feedback about my little talk on calcium. If there are any questions that I didn't get to answer last night, or you've thought of something since then, ask away. That's what I'm here for! If anyone reading this is lurking, just checking us out, welcome, welcome!  We're a great bunch that has a common bond in WLS who have become friends in the process. We're happy to have you in our little corner of the world. If there is anything we can do to help out, just say the word! Gotta run and get showered before hubby.....first one in gets all the ho****er! Hugs to everyone and have a great weekend

I thought the meeting went wonderful!   I loved it and think you did GREAT! I love how the first half of the meeting is set towards post-ops individually now.  The new format is a RAVING success in my book!

Yes you did!  (And I just went to buy a size SMALLER levis - size 10!)  I'm in a 12 in most all other style pants (which is why I have to buy levis everytime I go shopping)!

I really hated not having gone last night.  I just started not feeling to well yesterday and at the last minute decided to stay home in bed.  I think I got a stomach bug or something.  Hopefully I will be okay for February's meeting.  I am going out of town Feb 2-10 to San Diego to see all my family.  My sister, her husband, baby and Me are going to drive, so that ought to be fun.  I am gonna have to figure out a menu plan while I am gone, so I won't get stuck having to eat something I can't have.

I am so sorry you're not feeling well. There is some sort of bug going around, so if you have it, you better get it gone before your trip! I'm sooooo jealous about your trip!  A trip to San Diego is in my very near future, probably the Spring. Of course, if the Chargers get to the Super Bowl I'm maxing out my credit card to go watch it at my family's house in Temecula. Good for you for thinking ahead on eating. Let me know if I can help. Feel better soon!

I really enjoyed the meeting.  Met lots of nice people.  Pre-ops had lots of questions.  Looking forward to next month.

Susan,  I really enjoyed the class on Thursday and you did a great job.  The first group meeting I went to was in November.  I am really glad that we are meeting in a separte room without all the noise!   I appreciated the structure.  I was afraid that the support group would be just all of us sitting around talking about what we ate, how much we lost etc.  It was Sooooooo informative.  I learned so much about calcium and vitamins that I didn't know.   Thanks for being our leader!!!
