LapBand

Is it possible to have he LapBand and have your family doctor do your fills or does it have to be the dr that did the surgery.? If anyone knows, please reply. Thank you all very much.. Tina

i really doubt that anybody else would do the fills, but you never know.  you would have to ask the doctor AND the surgeon.  good luck!

thank you for replying. yeah i was kind of throwing that one out there hoping that i could have the surgery in little rock and then just have the fills here where i live since im an hour and a half away from little rock, it would be so much easier, oh well, we can't have it all now can we. lol. i am still gonna check with my family doc though. tahnks again, tina

you really don't want someone unexperienced coming at your port with that big ole needle!  i think it would be worth the drive.  i've had my band since june and only needed 3 adjustments total.  no appt. again until february.  so it's not like you'd be coming down here all the time.

I know exactly what you mean.  I drive 2 hrs to see  Dr. Baker for fills, but it's what has to be done.  I've had 3 fills since July and don't go bac****il Jan.
