Has anyone paid cash for lap band?

I dont have insurance, but think that I saved the money that I need for the band. I go to my meeting December 18, but I would like a little heads up. All I can find on the internet in cost in Mexico. A estimate would let me know if Im close money wise

Hi! I'm not sure if this will help you any or not but I thought I would try anyway. I had Lap-Band with Dr. Wellborn in June and I paid for my expenses out of pocket too. My total cost for the procedure was $16,000. I'm not sure if it will be the same for you but this is just a rough estimate. Hope it helps!   Karen

i had to pay cash (course, it came from a loan) but my total costs were around 16000 dollars too.  I used Dr Gibbs in Little Rock.  I looked into going to Mexico, but I figured if I was having to fly back all the time for fills, then I wouldn't send up "saving" any money.
