Medicare

Just wanted you all to know, if interested, I received an email today that stated that Dr. Baker is taking Medicare again. WooHoo..

OH! Im so glad to hear this news! I have a friend I met at his seminar in April who needs this done! I was so worried when all this came about....medicare was my insurer for him....but I was one of those it did pay! Follow all the steps dont rush them...i\the government doest like to give out money good luck to those who this will affect! make those appointments! nutti

 

Well thank goodness!! Thanks for letting us know. There are so many who need this surgery and Medicare is their only option.  Don't know what happened to cause the turn around, but it's wonderful news. Take care and thanks for sharing

I am glad to hear that.  I know for a while Medicare wasn't paying the Dr's.  A lot of people are going to be really happy to hear this good news.  Atleast they didn't have to wait over a year and half like I did, LOL

I live in NW Arkansas and am closer to Tulsa.  Dr. Fisher and Dr. Katsis at Surgical Associates accept Medicare patients.  Just wanted to let you know they are also very thorough in the file requirements and that makes it really assuring Medicare will pay. Carol

I sure wish I lived close to LR. Here in Jonesboro, there are no Medicare providers for WLS. I have to pay for mine out of pocket unless by some slim chance, Jonesboro gets approved by Medicare before I have my surgery.

there is a center here that does the wls also but like jonesboro, they dont take medicare. I am going to go to little rock to have mine. it's about 1 1/2 hours from me so not too bad, beats having to pay full price for the surgery, LOL. anyways, good luck and best wishes.
