There is a woman from Arkansas, also from OH...name "Mom of Many".  She was on Star Jones talking about her weight loss surgery.  Gosh she should be leading the support group meetings!  She is so beautiful and knows her stuff.  Wow why isn't she still posting here on this board, I saw where she used to post.  I think this is a nice forum so why have so many people left it????  am I missing something.

I'm guessing life as a thin person keeps you  busy.  They sure are needed here though.

I agree....people who have been on this journey sure need to be on the board. I can remember when I first started this whole process....trust me....I would have been lost without the wisdom and insight of so many people on this board. It really helped. I know sometimes we get busy and forget to post as often as we did before. I know I am in the middle of a new school year and it is often times very hectic. I read on here every single night. I never skip a day. Sometimes I post and other times I just read. Anyway, what I am trying to say is that this board is very important to many people. In some ways, it is like a lifeline! We need to keep it up and running so that others can benefit from our experiences along this AMAZING journey!!    Karen

That's great that someone from the AR board was on TV about their WLS.  I wish more people posted here, especially the older ones, because some of us here who are newer to the boards and those who have just recently had surgery are curious as to what things are like several years down the road.  And if your anything like me, you want to see before and after pics and hear people talk about how much they lost.  I think maybe we should encourage some of the older members to come back and let us know how their doing.  I understand to, that after you lose weight, you tend to get a busier lifestyle, whether it be getting a new job, dating, or just having new hobbies.

Hi Linda, Cathy used to be a regular here and on the main board but doesn't post too often any more. Lives just change, I guess. I am over a year out and at goal. I check the boards every day, sometimes more than once to see what's happening. If there is ever anything I can help you with, you're welcome to PM me. If you post a question and it's something I think I can answer, I will, but I don't know all that much about lap banders.....but I'm learning! As to the support group meetings, there will be a big announcement tonight at Baptist, so if you're able to come, please do. If not, when I get home I'll "let the cat out of the bag"! Got to keep up the suspense!!!!

I am house bound.  I am trying to get better by posting and use to get encouragement  from other people who wrote on this site.  I never felt like I would fit in so I just read what everyone was writing. I finally decided to write and felt good about it but then I saw a post about 5 months ago between two of you being ugly and making fun of bi polar people and started to stop writing but I didn't and then I saw a post last week where you same ladies were making fun of bipolar people again.  I am bipolar and it hurt a lot.  I remember another lady from Arkansas who used to post on this forum a lot too.  she is bipolar like me.  Forgot her name but she loves sweet tators.  Anyway I noticed after three of you made your "BiPolar betty remarks she left this site.  I guess I should leave this site too.  People shouldn't be so cruel.  It is a hard cross to bear without folks who claim to be leaders and care talking down to people who are sick.  I am leaving too.  This is a mean place.  I just wanted to feel wanted.  Thats all, just wanted to feel a part of something for once in my life.  I wish you all nothing but goodness & success but please be better.  There are lots of sites out there don't feel too bad I will try another place.  Linda

Well, that is why a lot of people do not post on here.  You never know when you are going to offend someone. I am sure those ladies meant no harm to you what so ever but that is how you took it.  I have posted my opinions on here before and someone didnt like it.  Well you dont have to like it but everyone is entitled to their opinion. Thats what makes this world go round.  Please keep your chin up and dont take things personally unless it is directed to you personally.
