Better Health

You know, it's funny.  Since surgery, I find myself much more aware of how I (and those around me) take care of themselves.  And I've noticed that when someone doesn't take care of themself, it really bugs me. For instance, I'm convinced that a good friend of mine has High Blood Pressure.  I've mentioned several times over the past year that she should go see her doctor about it.  She always  blew it off with the "everything will be fine" attitude.  I always dropped it. Well...earlier this week I took action.  I brought my blood  pressure machine from home (I have it too) and I took her  blood pressure.  I was right.  It's high.  I've taken her blood pressure every day this week and I told her I would continue taking it daily until she went to the doctor!  Then I told her I would call her doctor and make her an appt for during her  lunch break today.  She knew that I knew her doctor and  I would call!!!  (We live in a small town, everyone knows  everything!)   Anyway, she's currently at the doctor's office getting it  checked (I know because I called to make sure she made it).  LOL  I pray she gets the meds she needs to feel better and that it's something that meds alone can handle.  I feel  like I've really done something to help her.  The old me  would not have been confident enough to push like that.

I understand what you're saying. You know, this is off topic, but I have always thought you looked like a blond version of me.

Your friend should be very happy to have someone so caring in her life.  How did her doctor's appointment turn out? Susan
