plastic surgery time

Hi all, I was just wondering if any of you have had plastic surgery yet? I am having mine done december 10th at the Baptist outpatient center . Dr. Kris Shewmake is doing it. I am kinda scared and kinda excited at the same time. He says there will be about 25 lbs taken off.

That has to be exciting.  What are you having done?  If you don't mind how much did you lose?

Hi Becky, I am having a panniculectomy ( removal of excess skin around stomach). I am paying for this myself because medicare does not pre approve this type of surgery. I lost 202 lbs and has weighed the same for over a year.I started out at 372 . This surgery was a blessing to me . I had severe apnea and all kinds of joint problems now I am fine. I have family in damascus .

You have done awesome with your weight lose.  I have lost about 51 pounds and have 100 more to go.  I started at 321pounds.  Has your family been in Damascus long.  I have worked in Conway for 10 years.  I know what you mean about the surgery being a blessing because I was getting to where I could not walk without pain.  Now I am doing things that I have not done for at least a 1 year.  Do you attend any of the support group meetings?  If so hope to meet you sometime.

Hi Becky, I couldnt sleep because of a big test today. I am a college student at Pulaski Tech so thought i would check the boards on here. My family has been in Damascus for about 4 years . I havent been to a support meeting in along time I got married and now live in Morrilton but I wanna start going again. Are they still on thursday? Would love to meet you sometime. Morning! I have a consult with Dr Shewmake in January. Can't believe it takes that long to get in to see him, but in the mean time I'm going to see Drs English and Love. I know it's being nosy, but would you mind sharing with us how much it's going to cost you for this surgery?  We've gotten an equity loan and I need to get the money into a CD so I won't spend it before I have a chance to use it for what I need done.  Please come to the meeting next Thursday, there's some exciting  changes coming that will be announced.

Hi Susan, I dont mind at all telling you the cost of my surgery. It is costing $4,720.00 total. I think thats a pretty good deal. a friend of mine used Dr. Love and had problems with her P.S. Dr. Shewmake is a great surgeon and the ones I know that have used him tell me the same thing. He is very caring and you can ask him anything and he will take the time to sit down and talk to you. His staff was great too. I am going to try and make the meeting next thursday. Would love to meet all the Arkansas people.

Thanks so much for the info!! Honestly, I thought it would be twice that.  My DIL LOVES Dr Shewmake, had her breasts done by him and is now seeing him for laser hair removal.  She researched her BA throughly and even thought about going to a dr in Dallas, but is so glad she went to Shewmake. I hope you can come to the meeting too....it's always nice to put a real face to a name.

Congrats on your success.  I'm not there yet, but I'm sure I'll have to have at least the pannis removal. 

i got new boobs......need a small tummy tuck thats next.
