Incision

I have a question that  I need help with.  I had my surgery on 8-20-07 and I had trouble with my incision.  My body did not do well with the stiches and so my incision open and had to heal from the inside out.  I still feel some uncomfortable discomfort around my incision.  When I sneeze or cough it feels like I just had surgery last week.  Is this normal?  Does it take awhile for the discomfortable to go away? Any help will be appreciated, Becky

HI Becky, So sorry this is going on, I'm sure it's not only uncomfortable but worrisome as well. When have you last talked to Dr Baker's office about this? They are the best people to answer questions like this. I'm sure their office is open now, so why not give them a call. I agree.  Call Dr. Baker's office (or his cell for faster service).

Becky, I had about the same thing happen to me. I ALWAYS call Dr. Gibbs office anytime I had questions. Not only did this ease my mind but it helped me to understand what exactly was going on with my body. I  too had to heal from the inside out. I protected my incision for about 3 months (Overkill). I would suggest writing down my questions and concerns and then calling Dr. Baker's office.  Keep us updated & good luck! Huggs, Rhonda T
