Surgery Wednesday!!!!!

Hello everyone!!! I am very excited and nervous because my Lap Band surgery is this Wednesday, the 19th. I feel like this is really fast! Dr. Baker's office just contacted me last month and now I'm already getting the surgery. But I have been researching this for months and months, so I guess the process would take longer. I'm supposed to be at Baptist at 9:30, but I don't really know what time my surgery is. I have been on the shakes since last Friday, and have lost 8 pounds so far. How long after surgery did you guys have to wait to drive again? Just wanted to let everyone know how excited I am and hope everyone is having a great day!

I had my Open RNY on 8/29/07 and was just able to drive yesterday 9/12/07. Good luck! Laura

Welcome Natalie! I had Lap Band in July and I wasn't allowed to drive for 7 days. Congrats on your upcoming surgery!

Congrats on your surgery!  I'm scheduled with Dr. Baker for RNY on the 24th (pending a clearance from my cardiologist) and have the same jitters as you do.  Good luck and God bless! Kelly

Hello, congrats on getting a surgery date.  I had open rny on Aug 15th with Dr. Baker.  I don't drive, so I don't know what the wait time is. 

Good Luck you will do fine. I had my surgery on Tuesday nad was driving by Friday. Be careful it is hard t get in and out comfortably and I couldn't drive my stcik shift but was able to drive and automatic without  difficulty...Take Care Kathy
