1st Post-Op Appt & I Had To Miss It

I had a 1:15 appt with Dr Baker today for my first post-op appt and to also get my stitches and peg tube out and I had to call and reschedule at the last minute.  My sister, who takes me to all my Dr's appts in Little Rock, her baby that is 10wks old was running fever and coughing, so she didn't want to leave her with my mom and didn't want to take her to LR either.  I really hated to have to miss this appt, but it couldn't be helped. I was lucky that they were able to reschedule me for friday at 4:15pm.  3 More days with this tube.  It has become bothersome to me.  Sometimes it suctions itself to my skin, the hole is healed up real nice, and also tight against the skin, which I assume is how it is suppose to heal.  I usually have to give it a nice little turn a few times a day :) Well, I will tell everyone all about  how my appt goes friday when I get home.

Hey there, everything went okay.  Dr Baker was quite pleased with my weightloss so far.  He pulled on my little stitch bow and cut it, it only stung for a minute, and then he deflated my drain tube and in one swoop he had it pulled out and then he put abdominal pad on it and taped it down with tons of tape.  The only thing I could say was: "That felt weird!" And it did feel weird, there was no word to describe that feeling.  It didn't really hurt, it was just weird, LOL The nutritionist told me to start taking calcium (FOREVER!) and also told me to take Vitamin C since I am bruising easily and I also told her that I was always cold.  I go back Nov 16th for my 3 month checkup.  So it was a good appt!  I told my sister that Dr Baker has a sexy voice (blushes) and she threatened to wink at me when Dr Baker comes in the room (to embaress me and make me blush).  Luckily her baby needed changing so she wasnt there when he came in the room.  So that is my day!

Before surgery I lost right at about 30lbs and since surgery I have lost about 25lbs.  Dr Baker's scale yesterday weighed me at 348lbs but at home it has weighed me as low as 344lbs.  I haven't lost anything on my waist but I lost a few inches off my hips.
