Okay since I have 9 days till surgery, I was wondering what post-op products have you tried?  Which do you like and what things did you not like?  I want to hear all about it, for vitamins, protein powders, shakes, foods, and everything else. I am going shopping next week to get the things I will need for when I come home. Thanks, I hope everything everyone says not only helps me, but will help other people who are soon having surgeries and not sure what to buy.

flinstones complete a chewable calcium but not till after the drain comes out soup....tomato soup is my friend.cream of mushroom and chicke are good  also  fruit juice!  sf popsicles OMGOSH!  the crystal Light fruit punch koolaid is my BEST friend! I was a huge water drinker but now I just cant hardly drink it without some flavor.... I also got a shaker sealed glass for making shakes in....but I use it to shake the crystal light. I lived on Cran-grape juice...right now Im into tomato juice. now that Im out as far as I am I make a cheesy dish with Ricotta cheese, cottage cheese, shredded mozerrella with spagetti sauce.....this is a soft food...you bake it till the cheese bubbles and its nice and ymmy with Protien!  mashed pot ....weigh****chers yogurt  cottage cheese get a baby spoon...you will feel like you are having a meal if you take the smaller bites. and it helps in reminding ourselves to eat SLOW! still using wal-mart Protien powder for my shake. and DH found me some natural sf peanut butter to make them with. I also use bananas and other fresh fruit. do you have a blender? you really will need one. also make sure to grab those med cups.from the hospital....use them...you do not want to eat to much! when you progress to soft foods I like to eat sf maple brown sugar oatmeal....or a poached egg mostly I suck out the yolk out(gross huh?)  you will be suprised at what you wont want. I havent really ate a lot of different things yet....refried beans cept with the gas I have now I will have to eat that in small doses.    get some anti diareha liquid....ask Dr for recomend. you are going to do great! nutti

Dannon Light & Fit Yogurt!  Some canned chili without beans...you'll be surprised how great this tastes when yur starving and it blends super smooth. DaVinci Sugar Free Syrups: These taste wonderful in hot coffee or as flavorings added to plain yogurt or cottage cheese. You can find them in the coffee aisle at just about any walmart.
