I'm back from the wedding
Hi All,
We got in late Sunday nite from the wedding...quite the long and exciting weekend. First, we had to drive to Oklahoma City for our flight (saved enough to pay for our hotel) which didn't exactly start our trip off on the right foot. Not far from Conway we hit a HUGE storm and could barely see the lines on the road. Poor DH kept on going though and it finally cleared and we had smooth sailing from then on.
After stopping at every Starbuck's from here to OKC we got to the airport thinking we'd get something to eat there. Well, the dang place literally closes at 8:00 p.m. ! I bought a bag of beef jerky pieces and a bottle of water and called it done, but hubs had to settle with single serving bags of peanuts I had brought "just in case".
Friday we spent with our son and Tess getting ready for the wedding that evening. Our family came from CA, but only three of Tess' family was able to come from AR. A couple of friends of Jeff's made it, so all together we had about 20 people there. Elvis walked Tess down "the aisle" and sang three songs, the last one being "viva las vegas" that we all had to sing along with! Quite a hoot, I must say. Elvis didn't do the ceremony, there was a actual minister there, so that made the moms and grandmas happy.
Afterwards we went to the kids suite at Cesar's Palace (they had upgraded them, lucky ones) and had cake and champagne. Yes, I had both, no, I didn't dump or get drunk. Then on Saturday we all met for brunch at Mimi's Cafe before everyone went and did their own things.
All and all it was a wonderful weekend, the kids are happy and didn't spend a ridiculous amount of money to get it done.
Gary took photos, so as soon as he has them on his web site I'll post it so you all can see.
Missed you!!!
Susan
I got married in Vegas, well, I also got it annulled. See, it's really a long story but I'll shorten it. Celebrating my divorce with friend in Bakersfield. Anyway, got drunk, got high, and friend forgot the cardinal rule, to stay sober to take care of celebrating newly divorcee. Anyway, met two guys, they invited us to drive to Vegas, we go, and the next thing I remember, I woke up in bed next to a man that had to weigh 500 pounds and this was when I was young, thin, with perky boobs and good skin. Anyway, you can figure the rest out, although, I swear there was no way that man could have, you know. Anyway, the same lawyer who got me my divorce got me annulled. So my life was a little disastrous, well a lot, but hey, I survived.
So, I'm glad you guys had a good time.
JODY'S BACK JODY'S BACK JODY'S BACK!!!!
I'm HAPPY!!!!! Can you tell???? What a wonderful surprise this morning when I sat down with my latte to check e-mail and found YOU!!! It hasn't been the same since they took away your computer, but I'm so glad to see you back.
Thanks for the complements, but first of all, how are YOU doing??Feeling ok, getting in all your protein and vitamins??? Dropping weight like a rock????
There's so much to tell you, but it's long and ugly, so I'll send a PM with it. No sense boring everyone here with it all over again.
