I'm here again!

I feel like it's been forever since I posted anything! It's really only been a week but it feels longer. Things are picking up at work, church, family, etc. and I find myself just wanting to go to sleep in the evenings rather than get online.

That's something I wanted to ask about too. I have been so tired lately. I'm wondering if there is something going on or it's just that I've been running like crazy. I notice it right after I eat - I just can't hardly keep my eyes open. After a little while, it's better. Last night I ate supper about 6 pm and then went and laid down and went to sleep. Next thing I knew it was 5:30 this morning. It's just not like me to sleep like that. I don't know if my vitamins are out of whack or what. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I weighed last week - 7 weeks post op and I've lost 47 lbs! I was so excited. I wasn't going to weigh until this Friday when it's an official 2 months but we went down to see my husband's family and I knew I would need the most current number - or they would make me weigh there! Everyone has been very supportive and I appreciate that so much.

I just wanted to check in and say hello. Any info on the lethargy is welcome! AT

Angie!  Congrats on the 47 pounds!  Almost to the half-century club.  That's awesome. Tired?  could be a number of things--the heat, the vitamins, your business, etc.  Probably a little bit of all of those things!  you might try 15 minutes of something physical to keep you awake a little longer.  i don't know.  i guess i would say if it goes on too long, be sure to have your thyroid and other levels checked out. best of luck to you!

Hey Angie, I am the same way. When I eat if I do not get up to do something, doesn't mmatter what it is, I will be asleep in no time. I thought it was my sugar, because before my surgery if I ate alot of carbs or sugar I would cras the same way. I don't know. If you find out let me know. Congrad on the 47lbs, I am jealous, I am only down 31lbs. But thankful for that anyway, could not have done that before.  Hope everything goes well, have a good day.

Hi Angie, 47 lbs....way to go girl!!! Are you going to the support meeting tonight? If so, maybe ask Lauren the question about your sleepiness after eating. Or, better yet, put a call into Carrie.....she' the best! Is it just after you eat, or are you lethargic during the day too? Are you still taking the chewable vitamins? Maybe it's time for you to change to something stronger. How about carbs. JoBeth says  at your stage it should be 50% protein, 25% carbs and 25% fat in your caloric intake. Never hurts to ask....I'd make the call to Carrie. Maybe it's nothing, but even if it is, you'll feel better getting an answer from an expert. Can't come tonight, off to Vegas to get the son married off. I'll say hi to Elvis for you....he's doing the wedding. Came back just for Jeff and Tess!

Thanks you guys! I had forgotten about the support group meeting so I don't think I'll make it. I'm trying to get a garage sale together to raise money for our mission trip.

I may give Carrie a call. It's usually just after I eat - I need to pay closer attention to my intake. I didn't think I was doing too many carbs but I've been eating on the run alot.
