the shakes will work for sure.  it's hard to stick on them, but it's worth it.  i only wanted to mention one thing--but be sure you follow your doctor's advice if it is different from mine!

you said you can also drink water and juice.  if your doc didn't recommend juice, then i would stay away from it.  it's very high in calories (can be as much as a coke!), sugar, and low in nutrients.  it's amazing how a little thing like juice can sabotage a diet.   best of luck to you!

Ev, Hey, great to hear you are back home, dont be discouraged, I know it is, but it will go by really fast.  Im not sure what shake flavors you got, but I have some great suggestions with the vanilla, so if you want, you can email me thru here and I'd be glad to tell you how I made 2 weeks.

As for the juice, I agree, Id be weary of them, use Crystal Light, its caffein freee, and the wal mart off brand is cheaper and tastes better to me.   I lost on the shakes, a really great friend of mine had surgery Monday, and she lost 13 pounds in 2 weeks on the shakes, so they work well.   Hang in there, and know we are hear for you!!! If you have any questions, please feel free to holler at me. Hugs, Rhonda P.S. 86 pounds gone FOREVER!!!!

I will have to call and ask them about the juice thing, I could be thinking of what they were saying for after surgery?  I don't remember.  I would be interested in all the different things I can do with the shakes.  I know Christy told me I could put them in a blender and add certain fruits to them, I could add ice and make smoothies, she said anything pretty much I want to do with them that is healthy is okay.  I then told her that I heard from some people on OBESITYHELP.COM (hehehehe) about putting crystal light in them and she said oh yeah you can do that too. I saw someone from the support group meeting as well, I forgot her name, I think Johnnie was her name (I apologize if I got that wrong) and she said my name and said we met at the support group meeting last month, anyhow she had the same surgery date as me and then I told her it was changed and that someone was getting a call today that their surgery was being moved up, LOL lucky them.
