Hey Everyone!!! Happy Fourth of July to one and all!  Hope you're having a great day, and certainly a safe one. Just wanted to check in and see what's going on with  everyone, what's new, what's exciting, or even boring. We're getting ready to go to Las Vegas for our son's wedding on 7/13. Yes, they're getting married on Friday the 13th.....but wait! There's more!  It's going to be at the Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel, and Elvis has come back to the building to perform the  ceremony. NOT exactly what I had envisioned for my son's wedding, but it's their thing, not mine. Anyway, being away from home and all my "comfort zone" of protein and supplies has me a little concerned, but I'll figure it out. We're driving to Ok City to catch our plane. Saved enough to pay for our hotel for three nights. So, I figure I'll put my protein powders into ziplock baggies and stash them in my suitcase. Sure don't want to try and take powdered anything onto the plane. Still maintaining at 136-138# but losing inches. I bought two pairs of size 6 (OMG can't believe I used THAT when referring to clothes) capri's at Wal-mart, and they might be a teeny bit big too! But, for $11 each who cares if they go to good will soon. So..........Let's hear it ...............What's going on in YOUR world??? Hugs to all

Isn't being in control a wonderful feeling???  How much of the pintos were you able to eat? I know next to nothing about how your banding works, so hope you don't mind me asking. Betcha didn't miss those meximelts, did you? Keep up the good work

Hey Tina, sorry about the achy belly. If it keeps up I'd put in a call to Carrie at Gibbs' office to see what she says. Until then I'd go easy on the heavy stuff like bar-b-que! Good for you to start working out. I think I'll be able to go back to the gym in a couple of weeks. I have to get the rest of this incision in my ankle healed and start physical therapy before I do anyting though. Enjoy your 4th with the kids, and be careful!

i was able to eat the whole thing of pintos n cheese.  it just took a really long time!  i can eat between 1/4 and 1/2 of a cup of soft food at a time right now.   so that was my lunch.  i'm working really hard at eating higher protein foods only and doing my protein supplements.   and yes, i did miss the meximelts a little.  i'm still really new on this journey, and do have a few "sad" moments, but they haven't been overwhelming and i certainly haven't caved into them!  now i wouldn't have had room to eat the meximelts anyway, but yeah, i kind of missed them. i figure that's normal.  i imagine eventually (once i'm off the post-op recovery diet) that i can go eat a meximelt, or at least the inside of one.   thanks for asking!  i'll fill you in on the bands as much as i can.

See, when I was at your stage post-op I was measuring food by the tablespoon!! I'm 9 months out and can only have 1/2-3/4 cup of food at one time. I don't know if I could eat a whole order of pintos and cheese now or not. I have had a crunchy taco from TB about tow months ago. That was it for me though. Big differences between the two types of surgeries, but as long as the results are the same, who cares? Keep up the good work

So, your date has been moved up? Wasn't it moved to closer to the end of the month? Gotta make sure so I can mark my calendar and come see you!  Got your water bottle waiting with your name on it (well, not really your name, but I have it!) Take care
