Q's for those who's had lapband or RNY :)

have decided that I am going to be there too and I can't wait to finally meet you all!!!!!!

LOL!  Yeah...I am just going to bite the bullet and make that long ass drive!!  I hope Shannon from Fayettville will want to ride along!!!!

Hey Donell! Thanks for saying "Hi"!! It'll be so nice to meet you, too!!! Wow, big congrats on your almost one year anniversary and 80 lb loss! That's great!!  We are both SO excited and truly counting down the days. It'll be very encouraging and positive  for us to be at the support meeting on the 10th, just two days before our surgeries! I truly appreciate all of the advice and support we've received from everyone on this board! :) My family is VERY supportive. My hubby's family......we've decided to just not tell because we know they won't be supportive. We've told selective friends and I already regret telling one friend ( I should have known better and she's probably told EVERYONE she knows ) because she's been very negative and I dare say jealous. My friend and hairdresser who had lapband warned me that some people want you to fail.......just how when you go on a diet and others try to sabotage you, etc. She told me that she's had some very surprising reactions from close friends. It's funny how that happens, but it does. It's great to have the support of so many others who have been successful with lapband. See you on the 10th!!! Hugs :) Missy
