Hosptial Time

I am having open RNY on Monday, how long is the hosptial stay?

I dunno...been wondering that myself! but Ill be there on WED so save me a bed! I think it may have something to do with how well you are doing after.... nutti

I had rny in July of 2006 and I had to stay in the hospital 3 days. Dr Baker is my doctor and I love him. He is great. I am almost a year out and I have lost 118 pounds to date. It is the best thing I ever have done . It has given me my life back. I weigh 138 pounds and wear a size 10. I hope all goes well for you. Good luck and God Bless!!!! angie

Hey thanks for the info! Dr Baker told me to expect a 4 day stay due to the fact I live so far away and to plan on staying for a couple of days after in Little Rock just to be sure everything was good before making the 4.5 hour trip home. but he also said its all subject to change depending on how Im doing. 5 more days! nutti

Congrats! I had OPEN RNY in April. Dr. Gibbs is my Doc. He said to prepare for  a 3 night stay, depending on how well I progress. I had surgery Friday morning and should have been released Monday morn but I developed fever and stayed 3 more days. It will go by fast! Just remember to walk, sip and walk some more!
