Who's eatin' what on Monday????
Susan
B - slept through it
L - toasted ham and cheese and cantalope
S - protein shake and sf popsicle
D - 4 tbsp of taco salad (taco beef, refried beans, cheese, ff sour cream, 3 tortilla chips, picante sauce, mexican rice) I mixed this all together and ate about 4 tbsp of it. It was good stuff!
I'm finally to the point where I can really begin to do some trial and error with my diet. So far the meat hasn't bothered me - YEAH!
At what point can I eat the protein bars. Believe it or not there are some of them that I really like. I don't want to ru**** though. I plan on having a little pudding later this evening and that should conclude my eating day. Take care!
Today was a pretty good eatin day for me, even though it started late. We late this morning, my husband is on graveyard shift and me and my girls stayed up until 1am this morning, they didn't wake up until 10am and neither did I. Here's my day: B: Slim Fast Low Carb chocolate shake -- 20g 20oz. water w/workout (1hr.) L: 2 oz. almond crusted chicken w/apricot honey(sf) sauce, 1/2 cup whole grain brown rice with broccoli and cheese -- 16g 32oz. decaf tea sweetened with splenda D: 1 cup chicken pot pie soup -- 9g (would have had more protein but I ran out of chicken!) 1/2 protein bullet (fruit punch) 8oz. calorie countdown chocolate milk -- 8g mini bag of popcorn 797 calories, 76g protein, 71oz fluids plus my vitamins and calcium supplement I feel like I ate a ton of food today, but yet didn't even reach 800 calories. I couldn't have eaten any more if I tried, I don't think I'll ever get to 1000 calories like Jo Beth wants, but I did keep my fat intake to less than 30%, even with all of that food I ate. Fat is really the only thing I'm watching right now and I'm learning to cook low fat...been sneaking it in on my family without them knowing. My 7yr. old gained 10 lbs. last summer, so far this summer she's lost 3lbs. since the end of school. She's not overweight and I intend to keep her that way, she's been watching me exercise and change the way I eat, which was one of my major reasons for having this surgery...to be a good role model for my two daughters. She asks a lot of questions about why I eat certain things and she'll ask me if certain foods she's eating are good for her. She asks for water more often than not and she's eating more fruit. I've noticed that she doesn't ask for seconds anymore, when before she always did. I've had to walk a fine line with her, don't want to give her body issues at her young age, but I do want her to be health conscious. Thankfully her PE teacher at school is a good friend of ours and he really encourages the kids to eat healthy and exercise, he makes exercising fun for them and I'm trying to do the same here at home. We bought them a trampoline a couple of months ago and they love it, so do we, because it gets them out of the house and gets them moving. I am determined that my children will not go through their childhood overweight like I was. Didn't mean to go off on a tangent like that, but I'm very passionate about my children. Anyway, that was my day, hopefully I'll do as well tomorrow. I need to make more almond chicken, that was good!!
