Question for Dr. John W. Baker's patients

Hi, I was wondering what to expect  at my first appt with Dr. Baker?  Thanks, Amy

I really like him, my sister and I both use him and like him.  I took my husband with me to the appointment and Dr. Baker was glad him came with me. Good Luck  Christy

if your visit is a consult you will be weighed and measured you will speak to to Courtney the NUT than you will see the Doctor...he will examin you and discuss the procedure with you.  if  you havent started eating right or excerzising he will ask  "what are you waiting for?' actually he will ask this of you alot. he will again stress this is a tool and stress compliance.  after he is finished you will see Becky for your Liquid diet...be prepared to pay for it at that time. I had to drive 4.5 hours to get there so I alos had my pre-op testing done at the hospital following my visit. he is direct and firm...but he is also kind and soft spoken. I liked him very much. I look forward to seeing him in 9 days for my surgery. nutti

Hey, first of all, how is the liquid diet going for ya??

Second of all, we'll have to purchase a specific liquid diet from Becky??

Third of all, my insurance is stressing me out.....after waiting 2 weeks, I get a phone call today saying they can't give me an answer until I have some more paperwork sent in.....why did it take 2 weeks for them to say THAT??  UGH!

I can not say enough good things about Dr. Baker. He is really kind and sweet, but also very affirmative. He wants you to have this surgery for the Right reasons!! He is very open and honest with you. Ask him anything and he doesn't mind.  Good Luck. And if you have any questions just ask away. Beth

The liquid diet is going ok....yes I had to buy the specific diet from the office.

it is shakes...they are tasty....but I have never been a sweet person and I feel like Im living on sweets.  I have a back of the head annoying headache which Im sure is the lack of calories as compared to what I normaly consume and the addition of excersize. been swimming everyday I can.   nutti
