Ok gang, we're going to try something new. Everyday we're going to post what we're either planning on eating that day, or if you can't/don't figure out your meals in advance, what you've eaten during the day. It helps in two ways: One, it's a good way to see what others are eating and maybe get  some ideas for your own meal planning. Two, it gives us some accountability.  NO JUDGING ALLOWED!!!!   We're not doing this for someone to get onto us for something we might have eaten, but we're looking for support here. A number of the forums do this on a daily basis and it works quite well. So, let's give it a try and see what happens. Could be fun, could be helpful....we'll just have to see. OK, I'll go first. Bkfst:      Sugar free, fat free yogurt (4 oz) with fat free granola               5 grams protein Mid morning:   Protein drink                                                                        35 grams protein Lunch:      Lean Cuisine turkey and veggies                                             15 grams protein Dinner:      1/4 cup sweet potato, baked talapia                                          19 grs protein evening:   10 oz vanilla steamer made with                      Calorie countdown milk and SF vanilla syrup                         10 grm pro Total   831 calories, 84 grams protein I calculate everything in Fitday.com. If you haven't checked it out, do so...it's FREE and a great way to keep track of your meals. Who's next????

Breakfast:  6-7 tsp of oatmeal with count down milk ( every morning) 2 cups Decaff Coffee ( 16 oz.) 20  oz SF low fat lattee Lunch:  4 bites of boiled cabbage, 3-4 bites of purple hull peas, 1 bite of round steak tenderized, and 1 bite of mashed potatoes 20 oz ice tea   16 oz bottle of water Dinner:  I had 3 bites of fried chicken thigh ( i know but it was sooo good), 3 bites of green beans,  3 thin cucumber slices in vinegar, splenda and water, and a bite of cream potatoes.  After Dinner I had 1/2 a protein bullett and then before bed the other 1/2 for a total of 42 grams of protein. 16 oz bottle of water plus 2 bariatric vitimins, biotin, calcium, and B-12 I had a good day today. Most days I can't eat this much. I am going to start counting calories, I have just been putting it off. This gives me a good excuse to start counting! Thanks Susan! Huggs, Rhonda

HI Rhonda,   Looks like you're doing great getting all your liquids in! Yipee!!! Are you getting all your protein though?  Might want to check out Fitday.com......not wanting to sound like a commercial, but it really helps keep track. Are you taking your calcium at the same time as the multi? The iron in the multi blocks the calcium...just in case you didn't know. You're so good about getting in lots of variety, something I really need to work on

Gee, you guys are so inspiring.  Im so glad Susan said no judging, b/c today has been one of my worst days, nutrition wise.  I must say I got my vitamins in, my B-12 and my calcium, but my food has been not so great.  We are doing Bible School every morning this week, so, here goes my day!! Breakfast-20 oz coffee from McD's Mid Morning Snack-2 Sausage Balls (that I made) made with low fat cheese and low carb baking mix Lunch-Bryan All meat hot dog on Whole Wheat/Whole Grain bread

Mid Afternoon Snack-1/2 celery stick w/peanut butter in the middle Dinner- Its still cooking!!!  Beef stroganoff w/low fat milk and low fat sour cream, and some corn I have had aproximately 32 oz of decaf tea, 32 oz of crystal light, 20 oz of coffee, and Im still sipping.  I'll do better tomorrow, I promise!!!! Darlin' this whole process is about us learning to make good choices. If you can handle that piece of cake, and do it once in a while....I say good for you! It only gets bad when you have all you can eat of nothing but cake! That hot dog sounds good....been thinking of trying one myself. Just get a craving for something now and then Tell us about those sausage balls...they sound yummy. Do you use Turkey sausage? Lower fat....it's all I buy anymore Sounds like a good day to me.....see you Thursday

I'll try - I haven't been taking the time to keep track of my intake - a bad habit to get into so soon!

Breakfast - 2 apple slices and 2 tbls cottage cheese
Sipped 16 oz Crystal Light all day
Lunch - 1 slice of potato, 1 tbls of rice, 2 broccoli heads
Snack - 11 oz protein drink
Dinner - 1 tbls of pasta with lowfat sauce, 3 green beans
Snack - 2 sf fruit popsicles

I still don't think I'm getting near enough liquids - but I'm trying. I still can only sip - can't yet take a full drink.

I did get all my vitamins taken so that's my food day!

Sorry if I sound like a broken record, but give Fitday.com a good look. It's quick once you get it going and really helps me tremendously.  It does not track you liquids though, which is a bummer. Can you do another protein drink sometime during the day/evening?  Did the pasta have any meat in it? See you Thursday, gotta get ready for work

You guys are doing great... I haven't had surgrey yet so I won't post what I ate. I know i'm gona need alot of advice after my sugrey. I'm glad ya'll are doing this ...gives me lots of ideas.

Not my best day- but I compensated... dinner was very light. Breakfast: Kashi chocolate Protein shake  25 gm protein!! School break Snack: string cheese (2) Lunch: chicken tenders w/ lf blue cheese dip snack: SMALL piece of leftover cake  (and it was DAMN good) Dinner: slice lf cheese and 1 1/2 slices thin deli ham, 4 wheat crackers daily liquid??? propel/diet green tea... easily 80+ oz.  Susan O

so today was my last day before the liquid diet I had a late start to the day....getting up at 11:30 woke up by company who didnt leave till almost 3pm I wouldnt eat in front of them and they ate before they came. so when the hubby went after the kid he picked up chinese buffet. yumm yumm for snack tonight I had 2 boiled eggs and a sf popsicle how do you keep from thinking about food and eating while on the liquid diet??? 15 days and counting! nutti:wave:
