Getting Closer...and closer..and closer

Got this mail today from Dr Baker's patient hub thing, EVEYLYN, LOOKS LIKE WE HAVE EVERYTHING IN EXCEPT FOR THE TSH LAB RESULTS. IF THEY CAN GET THAT FAXED TO ME ON MONDAY YOU CAN GIVE ME A CALL AND I WILL GET YOU SCHEDULED FOR YOUR H AND P WITH DR. BAKER AND WE CAN GO AHEAD AND GET YOUR SURGERY SCHEDULED AS WELL. HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND, CHRISTY I am glad to hear that.  Don't know why they don't have my TSH since I had that drawn months ago with everything else, and my Dr would have faxed everything at once.  But I will call my Dr monday and see what happened and make sure she faxes that ASAP.  I want my surgery, dangit!  I am tired of waiting, LOL.  Been waiting for over 2 years now.  I know that he can still decline to do my surgery, but I think that getting this close, that he wouldn't do that.  Then again, anything can happen.

WOOOT WOOOT HOOOORAYYYYY for you! I was so nervouse when I went to see Dr Baker I was a dithering idoit. but he was so kind and tried real hard to set me at ease. it wont be long now! 18 more days for me!  4 days to the 2wk pre-op liquid diet! I am sooo very excited for you. Ive waited 3 yrs and 3 different surgeons all because of INS issues! WTG! nutti

Nutti, did you get the pre-op liquid diet shakes from his office when you went for your h&p?  Or did you have to come back to get them?  Were they expensive?  Maybe I need to borrow some money before I see him, LOL?  Im on Social Security and Medicare and barely have enough money to live on, LOL

yes I got the liquid diet shakes from His office yes they are expensive 2 week supply was 129$ we had gone prepared for a 4 week diet but because I had lost down to 440 I only have to do a 2 week diet. Im suprised Christy didnt tell you this. bothe she and Becky had told me I would be on a 4 week diet and be prepared to buy it when I came to the office. but than I do live over 4 hours away from them so going back to get it is NOT and option for me. start saving....from what I understand...pre diet not only helps your body cavity loosen up by dropping pounds quickly but also cleans out the colon so you dont have to drink that nasty crap to clean out your system for the surgery...also the last 24 hours before surgery is a clear liquid diet   you dont want to have waste in your system on the off chance your bowl or colon gets nicked during surgery...its a precaution. please keep me informed so I can keep cheering you on....18 days to go. nutti

I look forward to the shakes, it will be nice to clean my system out and lose some pounds before surgery.  I guess Christy will tell me when she gives me my appt date and time to see Dr. Baker.  But I will be prepared, I will make sure that I get some money ahead of time.

Im sure thats what she will do. do now you have a little more time to get it together. hopefully it wont be long. I would love to be in the same room with someone who is having the same thing done. it would help so much. nutti

You can pick up those liquid shakes at walmart and instead of buying it in liquid form, just buy the powder, it cost like 13 bucks for a huge cannister and it is the exact same stuff.  I mix mine with soy milk.  Just use a blender to mix it well and throw in some ice, mix and let me tell you, it's like having a great milk shake.  Oh, you can add fruit too.
