I had the same question.  Only being 3 weeks out, I dont think I have to worry about it, but there's always the future.  Here is what I found out from Tammy.  It's basically going back to the meal plan from the first few weeks post-op.  Liquids and soft foods so that your pouch will "reset".  There were alot of posts about it on the WLS graduate board - they called it "Time Out".  So that's whay I found out.  AT

Hey Girls~ I am glad Angie clarified what a "pouch Re-set" is. I was totally bum-fuzzled with that one. Things are great with me & my pouchie. Dr. Gibbs had an emergency today and had to cancel my appointment sooooooooo I did not get to do my official 2 month weigh in. It will have to wait till next Thursday...that is the pitts.   I am tolerating food good. Not sick & have not dumped one time (Thank God). I am not ever hungry and do not crave any special food. I tend to tolerate soft foods better. I buy a small chili from Wendys and usally get 4 - 5 meald out of it. Only problem I am having is burping, i mean BURPING! My husband says I belch and the kids are amazed at how loud it is. I burp when I drink, I burp when I don't drink. I burp when I eat, I burp when I don't eat. I burp sitting, standing, walking, laying, talking, the only time I don't burp is when I am asleep (I guess). I probably burp 40 times a day. Dr. said " burping is good". Does anyone else have this problem. BTW Even in the hospital, I never did have much gas. Now that I am home, I don't have gas now. My sister, the RN, says that air is comming out the top instead of my bottom.  Happy Thursday to all my looser friends and friends that are soon to be loosers!  Huggs,  Rhonda T

Debra (AprilGirl) suggested Gas-X thin strips to me when I was at the hospital.  I don't have too much gas, just burping too.  Except I don't just burp - it's kind of a cross between a burp and a hiccup.  I sound like a dang hyena all the time.  My students call it a hiccaburp.  It HURTS!  I keep forgetting to buy some of the thin strips so I can't say for sure that it will work for us but Debra warned me that I should get some.
