Hi everyone,
My name is Ragon and I'm new to this forum. I am 26 years old and am from and live in
Paragould
. I have been teaching special education at
Blytheville
for one year and next year I am moving to a school closer to home called
Buffalo
Island
School District
in Monette Ar. It is a very small cotton farming town in
Northeast Arkansas
. I've been married for almost 5 years and have a 3 year son.
Now on to my WL story..........
I have always struggled with weight my whole life but it was not till I got pregnate with my son that the weight really became a problem. I had a miscarrage four months before I heard that I was pregnanat again. I used food to help me through the stress and worries about having full term baby. My weight started to go past 200 and then some (a lot some). For 3 years the weight has not budged and I have gained a little more weight since my son was born. So I tried exercise but being overweight makes exercise VERY DIFFICULT (as some of you might already know). I tried weigh****chers and lost 30 lbs (then regained back). I tried diet pills (they made me fill like my heart was going to pump out of my chest and on to the floor).
I knew a lot of people who have had gastrict and almost had it but I girl I went to high school with had a mother that died from the surgery. Being a mother of a young child I knew that I could not risk anything like that (Not knocking anyone here who did gastric it just was not for me). Then about a year ago I heard about Lap-Band and knew from that moment that it was the surgery for me. So on July 5th I will begin my long road to a much better life. I am starting to fill the effects of being living with obesity. I can't wait to start feeling better.
