Im home!!!!

Hey guys, first let me say thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your calls concern and prayers. I got home last night around 9:30 from the hospital, and just didnt feel up to getting on here. Today I am a little better, no pain, but still very very weak. The answer as to what was wrong is....we dont know. They never did find anything wrong with my kidneys, as far as what was causing the pain, and the only thing that we did find was that I had a stoma. The opening from my stomach to my small intestine was closed off. We found that after me complaining of constant nausea and they called in a GI Doctor and I had to swallow the camera. She couldnt get it to go past my tummy and found the blockage, got that dialated, and so now I can eat again w/o being horribly nausaeus. As for what was causing the constant temp and the horriffic pain, my sweet husband thinks I have tick fever. He talked to several friends and to my father in law, all who have had tick fever and had the same symptoms, extreme pain, weakness, and fever. One of my docs said we dont have that kind of tick in Arksasas but I know better, so, we are calling my pcp tomorrow to see if I need to get blood drawn to check for that. As for now, Im still running a low grade fever all the time, and am really really weak. No pain at this point in my life. But again, thank you so much for all your calls, concerns and prayers during my long hospital stay. I will keep you all posted as we find out new information, Im back to lay down for a bit again. Man - you've been through it! I wish I would've know we were in at the same time as well. I had to walk anyway, I would've at least been doing something constructive and come to see you while I was walking. I'm glad that you are home - maybe that means there's some progress toward getting well. My friend always tells me you go to the hospital to get over being sick, but you don't get well until you get home. I must admit I have to agree. Anyway, I'm glad you are home and will pray that you guys get an answer for the "why?" soon. Take care - AT

Nothing feels better than sleeping in your own bed! I don't think it's a bad idea that you bring up the tick fever to your pcp. Hope he listens to you. Take care and get plenty of rest. We've missed you, but you need to take care of YOU! Hugs to you Susan
