One Week Post Op!
hello everyone! I told you guys I would let you know how everything in the hospital went!!! It went great.....they said I was a very good patient. I didn't have a lot of pain, and the nurses were all wonderful!! Being home is another story. I have two little ones and they don't understand why I can't hold them. My dh is trying his hardest to help, but they just want mommy....this has been hard. And I am having a hard time with the eating. Water is tough to get down, but I found a new vitiwater, and I LOVE it. SIP SIP SIP!! THanks to everyone for all the support. I am so glad I am on this journey with all of YOU!!!

Beth,
So glad that you are home and doing well. I dont have kids but I have a huge doberman that thinks she is supposed to be by mommy all the time.
If you are having trouble with water, try this trick. Dont drin**** cold water. For some reason, real soon after surgery, things that are icy cold hurt when they go down. For about 3 weeks, I had to drink tap water, or leave my water out of the fridge a while before I could drink it comfortably.
Good luck on your journey, and keep us posted.
Hugs,
Rhonda
So glad you're home and doing well. I understand about the little ones, my youngest is nearly 4 and she wanted to lay on me as soon as I got home. Thankfully my recovery was quick. I also showed her my "boo boos" on my tummy, so she understood that they hurt when she touched them. She still asks me every once in a while to see them
Rhonda's suggestion about the water is a good one. At nearly 4 months out from surgery I still have a hard time drinking cold water. I can drink other cold beverages, bu****er still gives me trouble. Just sip as much as possible, I know it seems like that's all you do all day, but it will get better. I can now drink, I don't have to sip anymore and it makes it much easier to get my fluids in. You'l get there too, it just takes a little time. Don't worry so much right now about eating, the most important thing is keeping yourself hydrated. The eating will work itself out. Keep us posted on how you're doing and come back with more questions if you need to.
Take care,
Denise
