Switching Doctors?

I did not have my surgery in AR, I had it in Atlanta, so I do not know these doctors at all. That being said, to me this is a GIANT red flag. If you cannot get a hold of your doctor or his staff before you have surgery, what will you do if you are post-op at home having complications? I ask this because I have had complications and can always get in touch with my surgeon, he won't even have an automated phone systems because he wants you to be able to talk to a person. One of the most important parts of WLS is finding a great surgeon that will take care of you, before, during, and after your surgery. I would be scared to have a surgeon that I could not get in touch with before my surgery. Yes I know they are busy, but will they be too busy for you AFTER your surgery??
