Still no date but...

I did hear from Kay today about my benefits and payment. It looks like $2000 is going to take care of it. I have a $500 deductible and $1500 out of pocket limit so I'll max that out and the insurance will cover the rest. I was excited to find that out. Kay said that Carrie should be calling on either Monday or Tuesday next week to schedule my surgery date. Carrie did mention yesterday though that it will most likely be in June. She said that Medicare finally paid them and they can start scheduling the people that have been waiting for several months. I guess I understand No, really I do because I can't imagine having to have waited since December like some of those guys. So June will work. The more I work with Kay and Carrie, I must agree with all of the other opinions on the page. They are wonderful. I know they get blasted with phone calls, but I honestly feel each time I talk to them that I am the only one they are focused on and are willing to tal****il I have all my questions asked. The date will com and June will be here before you know it. Kay and Carrie are both great and I agree they do focus on you and just you when there are questions to be answers. They are the best!!!!

Hi, I am glad to hear Medicare has finally started paying him, I heard from the Bariatrics RN at Baptist that they were having trouble getting medicare to pay the Drs. I have been waiting since Feb of 2006 for surgery because of Medicare and it has been a long long long wait. I hope you get your date soon. Keep us updated.

Hey Angie, Hey, time will fly by and you'll wake up and it will be surgery day. Stay busy, and it will be here in no time. I used Dr. Baker, whom I love dearly, and his staff is wonderful, but I have been assured by many here that Dr. Gibbs and staff are the bomb as well. By any chance are you kin to the Totty's in Fordyce? You look really familiar, but if you married a Totty, I wouldnt relate that, huh?? Ha Ha! Hope you get your date soon, I remember waiting on my date, and thinking, this will be so far off, and I got my date Jan 29, and had surgery Feb 12. I was amazed, talk about time really passing!! As a matter of fact I am related to those Fordyce Totty's! That is where my husband is from. He has an uncle and a couple of aunts that still live there. We come through there all the time - my mom lives in Camden and we usually travel that path to her house. I appreciate the encouragement. Now that it's getting a little closer, I keep wondering if I really do understand the impact this will make on my life. I know I will never completely know until it's done but I hope I'm not being naive about the hard work that will be required afterwards.
