HELP OUT HOLLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can any of ya'll here help Holly with her questions???? She would like to know the cost of the surgery in the area????? I know most of you are Little Rock patients. I had mine in Boston....so I cant help much. As for Memphis....Holly you need to ask around on the Tennessee board......they can help you there.... what I have seen is about 12,000.00 minimum for the lap band. Of course that is what I have seen...it could be more or less. Like I said my RNY with laproscope back in 2001 was at least 23,000.00. I had no complications. They are not cheap surgeries by no means, but you do need to be aware of the costs and please do not settle for a dr just because he is cheap. You get what you pay for. I just had a lift with implants that cost almost 8500.00.....I could have done it for 4000.00 to 5000.00 but I was afraid of what I might get in the end. Have you tried financing ? There are options. Tammy, Thank you so much! I do plan on checking into the financing options. Im just trying to find the best doctor to talk to. I have around half saved up, but looks like I sill have a ways to go. I was expecting around 13000-15000. Did you have the full bypass for that amount?

I had RNY...or gastric bypass. The military ins my husband had paid for it 100%. I honestly do not know the cost here. Call Virginia McGrath Weaver's office in Memphis she has an office in St Francis in Memphis. I have seen her once to set up follow up care if I ever need it. This is not a cheap surgery....and if you are paying out of your pocket you need to be prepared for this and also be prepared for the what if aspect....like what if I have complications......usually the hospital fee only includes a non complicated stay....same with the anesthesiologist. Please have all this info before hand. Hopefully someone on her will be able to help you out more. tammy
