Got my Appointments

I finally got the letter from Carrie about all the pre-op appointments. I was wondering, all my appointments are an hour apart, per-op at 12:15 and JoBeth at 1:15, except Dr appt. it is at 3:15. Is the admissions office and JoBeth's office & Dr. Gibbs office close to each other? God Bless Cynthia

I think they're all right there at or around Baptist. I've not had my appointments yet so I'm not the most qualified here to say, but from just looking at the addresses, it looks like they are all right there.

I did not get any addresses, the only thing I was told was the first floor, and Medical Tower II. That is it.

Congrads Cynthia! What day are ya goin? I went the 5th, day before surgery. When you exit off the freeway, drive srtaight onto the main part of the hospital. You will see the main entrance on your left so , you want to park in the NON-PAYING parking lot (on right) and walk to the main entrance, thru the revolving doors, (that don't revolve fast). Go straight in the building, verring to the left. You will see Large letters, ADMISSIONS. Check-in there, won't take you long there. FYI Same place you will check in morning of surgery. They know you have an appointment with JoBeth and will be very fast but effecient. I think from there it is 3 lefts and 2rights ......who can remember after being on drugs all weekend! They will help you with directions as you leave each area. At this point, I went back to car and drove around to the other side of the hospital because Dr. Gibbs office is by the Womens Center and next door to Dr. Hagens office , of which I frequent once a year for my momograms ( GIRLS... GET YOUR MAMOGRAMS ) Did I confuse you en-uff? he he Dr. Gibbs office sent me a map and instructions on where to go and what time to be there. You will probably get it in the mail Monday or Tuesday. If ya just can't wait, do a search on Baptist Health Little Rock and look at map. PM me and I will email you the map I have. Any of the lobby's will have maps. Just wanted to let you know.....Eat before you go! I did not stop for lunch and had to hit the junk machine after all that walkin'. I better try to go back to bed. Hope that helps. Hey, how are you doing? Glad to see you finally got out of the hospital. I have been meaning you write but been trying to keep myself busy, you know how it is. My surgery is on the 4th and I have to be there on the 3rd. Thanks for the information, that helps me out a whole lot. I was just worried because the last surgery I had the pre-op took about 2 hrs, most of which was waiting. So I was worried I would not make it to JoBeths on time. Thanks and God Bless Cynthia

Your appointments will be exactly like mine were. I promise, when you get to check-in, they know you are Dr. Gibbs patient and you are on a time schedule. They do not want to be the bump in the road (if ya know what I mean). They are in a hurry the whole time to make sure they are not running over on appointment time. Everything in on computer and they order all the test to come to you, CBC, Blood gasses, EKG, everything Doc ordered, One right after another! Just "shows ta go ya" a hospital can run effeciently! The hospital is lucky to have JoBeth! She is real good at what she does. You will like her. I actually got to Dr. Gibbs office 15 min. early. Girl, You are gonna feel soooo much better after this. Gibbs is effecient in everything! My surgery lasted quite a bit longer than normal, I had so much scar tissue, bless his heart and my tummy, he worked and got everything possible. My great nephew is here today, so I better go and play! Huggs, Rhonda

Congrats on your appointment, when is your surgery? My pre-opt appointment is April 24, 2007 and surgery on April 30, 2007.
