OH HAPPY DAY!!!
Just wanted to say Happy Monday to everyone. It has truly been a great weekend for us here in little Fordyce, AR. I met my first major goal Sat, (getting on horse unassisted) yesterday at church, the preacher did not recognize me, Ive been out sick for 2 weeks, and he didnt know me!!! That was fun. Yesterday afternoon, had all the family at moms, and instead of being the 3rd largest out of thirty, I was the 3rd smallest!!!! Today is Monday, and that means its weigh day!!! I hope so much to be under 200 today. Mike, my most wonderful supportive husband, says he thinks I am. So Im gonna go put on my clothes (being lazy today) and see what fits today, and then go weigh. Ill be sure to post later on the good news. You know, even if Im not under 200 today, thats ok, b/c I have lost 51+ pounds in 8 weeks, and I feel great, so Im just gonna lose at my body's pace and be happy. Hope you all have a great day, and a greater week.
Love to you all,
Rhonda
P.S. I-lean, still got a housefull???
Karen,
I had RNY (laproscopically) on Feb. 12, with Dr. Baker, whom I personally think walks on water in his spare time!!! Everyone loves their surgeon and thinks he is the best, and I really feel that way about Dr. Baker.
Oh my gosh, Im so excited, I have just posted new pics on my profile, of me 2 months out, so you can see the difference.
Good luck and know you can come here anytime and ask questions.
Hugs,
Rhonda
Oh Rhonda, it just keeps getting better, doesn't it??? I'm so happy for you, I just can't tell you! Can't wait to hear about your weigh in today, I don't have to tell you to let us know, do I?
Yep, MIL is still here. I can see why my sister in law, whom Rose lives with, is pressing for her to get her own apartment. She's perfectly able to do everything, but has some sort of death wish now that she's approaching 75. We've tried to tell her it's all in the attitude, that many, many people who are much older do very well on their own, but she's sure she's going to die the minute she moves out.
So, between my foot issues and trying to convince her that her daughter's family needs their own space and trying to find things for her to do around here, my plate is pretty full. Of course, when you're on crutches you can't carry a plate, so I better be nice to her for a while longer or it will be "no soup for me"!!!
I go to the doctor this afternoon, will let you know what happens. I'm praying that all of the protein I consume has sped up the healing process for me and I can get into a soft cast instead of another hard one, but I know in my heart it won't happen. I really need to get back to work, and can't get there if I can't drive.
Such is life.
