Well, I've done it now. Yesterday while getting out of the pool at the gym I ruptured my Achilles tendon. I will be having surgery to repair it on Thursday morning, and will be in a hard cast and crutches for 4-6 weeks. No driving, no working, no fun. I afraid I'm going to miss going to see our newbies in the hospital. Would anyone like to do it? No pressure, I just enjoy doing it and thought someone else would too. I'll probably be hanging around here more since I'll be stuck in the house. How do I vacuum while on crutches???? NOT! Darn, what a pity. So, I'm going to get my knitting back out, haven't done that since I finished my son's sweater I made him for Xmas, rejoin Netflix and watch a bunch of Chick Flicks, and dust off a bunch of books from the shelf that I've been meaning to read for awhile now. Everyone take care, and say a prayer for me on Thursday morning. Hugs to all Hop-a-long Susan

My goodness!!! Are you sure it was getting out of the pool or were you really dancing on tables?? I thought that was you! Please take care of yourself... and just think of the cast as a leg weight... a big heavy leg weight... Susan O.

That's the spirit!! I can tie a 5lb bag of flour on the other one and do leg lifts for exercise!! You're brilliant! Must be a "susan" trait. And as far as the table dancing, I was really practicing for Dancing with the Stars in 5 inch spike heels. The truth is out, damn Susan

Good grief!!!!! You are as bad as I am, I was walking across the yard yesterday, twisted my ankle, on solid flat ground. I promise it was grape in the glass. Maybe someone spiked it for me!!!! Please take care of you, I only wish I were close enough to go see our newbies in the hospital b/c it certainly gave me a lift when you came to see me. Guess you'll have to revert back to 3 inch heels until you get your balance better, but maybe it just felt good to ya huh?? LOL How long will you be in the hospital, is it outpatient or what?? Let us know so we can check on ya. Gotta take care of our folks out there. Oh, by the way, Ive almost made the 50 lb mark. I cant believe it!!!! 6 Weeks yesterday, and Saturday I had lost 47 lbs. I am sooooooo amazed and even more thankful that I had the opportunity to have this done. I never dreamed it would happen so fast, and I'd feel so different so soon. Good luck to everyone, and have a great day!! Praying for you now and after surgery as well!! Love ya, Rhonda

If I could do the happy dance for you and your great success, believe me I'd be doin' it. Wow, what a terrific job you're doing. Now, you know you should watch those grapes! At least they're "good carbs". Thank you for your kind wishes and words. I'll be there as an outpatient, so home by the afternoon. I just HATE the thought of another general anesthesia so soon, but what are you gonna do? I'll keep in touch, probably be hanging around more since I won't be able to do anything else for quite some time. Take care of each other here on our AR board, Hugs Susan

Thanks Rhonda, One of the first things I said to my husband yesterday was "how am I going to go see Rhonda and Jodi when they have their surgery?" You know you'll be in MY prayers for a successful surgery and speedy recovery. We'll both be able to do "table dances" about the same time! Please take care and know I'm right here in cyber space waiting to hear from you Smoochies susan

Hi there Terri How sweet of you to offer that. I might need to take you up on it since it won't take long for me to get a raging case of cabin fever! I don't do well not being able to drive, it's an independence thing. I'll keep in touch, probably bug the crud out of you guys! Thanks for thinking of me hugs back to ya Susan
