1 month post-op!!!!
I hope I am, cause I hear about people losing like 35 or 40 lbs in a month and i wanted to be one of them, you know. But I am satisfied with what I did lose. No, I haven't started walking yet. I just went and bought a pair of walking shoes ecause the only tennis shoes I had were backless and I walked one day in them and my feet burned like crazy. I am going to start soon walking and pushing my son in the stroller at the school track. I don't know that I can do what you are doing becaus of time wise I usally am working till 3pm and you know all the stuff you have to do when you have kids at home but I will try to do it once a day. What I really need to do id join a gym and start lifting weights to toe some of this stuff up. But I just can't seem to find time to fit anything in for me or even what I need to do. My husband works in the evenings and college during the day so I have no help when I get om from work I just seems so hard. But I guess I need to find time somewhere.
Thanks Tina
For now, you should just walk. My surgeon and the physical therapists and the weight trainer all said for the first three to four months, don't try to lift weights because we are starving and struggling to get our protein in and if we try to bulk up or even tone up, we run the risk of forcing our body into digesting its muscles. So, they all said, just walk and only walk for thirty minutes at 3mph. I don't walk that fast but I have still lost weight and am losing it quickly. YOu are doing great.
