I go my letter!!!!!!!!

You are awesome! The first number you gave me got me to a real person who was able to find my letter. It was received on 3/9 and entered on 3/19 and is being worked on. This is the one from the 2nd doctor I talked to. I turned my packet in to Dr. Wellborn's office in January and they said they faxed my letter to UHC on 3/5 but they don't have any record of receiving it. hmmmmm Hoping they will approve it soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! do you live in LR? My insurance is Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arkansas. The company I work for was very specific with BCBS in stating that they wanted this to be paid for as long as it was medically necessary. I did not have to do anything but provide records from my PCP and that was it.

Hi Debra!! I am new to this site and I recently posted a message for help with insurance questions. I ran across your post. Did you say that you have Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arkansas? Did they approve you to pay for your surgery? What type of surgery are you having? Who is your doctor? Sorry for the hundred and one questions but I have so much to learn and am willing to take help from anyone who wants to offer. I have Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arkansas and when I called them, they flat out denied paying for my surgery. I am hoping for the Lap-Band but they said that they do not pay for any kind of weight loss surgery. I am so confused!! Can you help??
