That is sooo awesome!!! What is your insurance company? My letter of predetermination was faxed on 3/5 and my insurance still doesn't show it in their system. Congratulations!

Thanks, Jodi! I have United Health Care also and I know it is covered on our policy-no exclusions. The doctor's office faxed the letter 2 weeks ago (after taking 45 days just to get to my packet.grrrrrr) I am trying to be patient but it's soooo frustrating. I'm going to call my insurance again in a couple of days. They just don't show it in their system. Someone there must have it on their desk but I don't know how to get to that person. The girl yesterday says they don't enter it until it's been approved or denied and then they send a letter to the doctor. I am already off my medication that has to be out of my system 4 weeks before surgery so that will be done. Once I get approved, I have to do 2 weeks liquid diet. I think that is going to be the hardest part. Thanks for the encouragement. Kelly

Thanks so much! When you called the insurance company did you just talk to a live "claims representative" or did you ask for a different department? It seems the claim's reps don't have any information til it's in their computer. Is there a "predetermination" dept? I'd welcome any suggestions. Have a happy day!!!
