I'm going lap band... It seems to be the best for me, like Wellborn. I just felt the best after talking to him and his staff. I went to Luttrell and did not care for some of the things he said and things I saw there. I have been heavy for some time and I felt out of place in his offices... I know it's all subjective and each case is personal. One Doctor may be great for one person and not for another. And that's great.. I just had that... 'this is right feeling' that I completely rely on... I actually called to make the appt. in Luttrell's parking lot! (lol) I'm so excited!!! Now to get to all this pesky paperwork!! I can't believe the diets I have been on... it's really funny... in a sad way. Susan ps.. I am still looking for a home for my cat if anyone knows of anyone who could take in a sweet lap cat... I have someone who might take her in early April- but getting there might just drive me right mad!!!

congrats!!! i had a date with dr. luttrell, but i canceled my surgery with him. good luck with dr. wellborn, i really liked his seminar and the suppport his offices seems to have. trish

I hate to be nosy, Can I ask why you cancelled with Luttrell? I was at his Wed. seminar and just didn't get any warm and fuzzys from him... I was very pleased with Wellborn's staff and his informative "crusade" to help people. Susan

Yeaaah! Congrads on the date! Jodi is having her surgery on the 4th, you on the 5th and me on the 6th. I told Jodi I would be waving to her as we passed in the hall but it seems more like we need to be high 5-N each other! Has your Doc said if you would be in the hospital 1 or 2 days? I am having open GB so I will be in there for 3 days anyway. Congrads again! Rhonda

Yea us!!! I don't know how long I will be in... I'm having band so I'm not sure how long they keep ya...I have my one on one March 28- surgery April 5... Are you both at St V's too?? I have heard so many good things about the facility.. I've only ever had my tonsils out so surgery is new to me.... I have now to find a cheap way to get my labs done- no PCP... No Ins... Susan

AWE......We are both at Baptist. Oh well we will be able to keep up with each others progress thru this board and the month is early so.........chances are good that you will have someone at SV having surgery the same time you are (keep checking the baord). I assume its at SV.. I don't know. I'm not below 40 BMI... I have no Ins... labs are going to be a nightmare... Tonya @ Wellborn said she might be able to get me into somewhere... or have some leads to where I can go.. I really think for those going self pay they should have a lab facility that the Dr. can send you to... wouldn't that be neat??? time will tell.. Susan
